Okay, I finally bit the bullet and upgraded to Nuendo 4.3 on a new ADK Quad Core PC. I am now deep in the bowels of "Migration Hell" as my dual core Xeon crapped out on me before I could transfer all of my files (See:
http://forum.nuendo.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=21356 ). I ended up having to run SATA connections from the drives in the dual xeon directly to the MOBO in the ADK unit just to see the files and then paste them into the new audio drive. What a nightmare.
Now my next big problem is getting N4 to see my Midex 8 MIDI interface. I pulled out the original Steinberg app disc to load up the application. But nothing's happening. The file size is like 845kb (??) and after loading it, nothing shows up in the program directory. I went to the steinberg site to download the latest (FINAL) drivers. But they still have to attach themselves to the actual application. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get around this?
Until, the xeon "broke contact" with the console, N3 was rock solid. Now I'm starting from scratch on EVERYTHING (I've got to completely re-program my X-tra Keys board with all the KC shortcuts, I've got to set up a network for a Win7 PC with 2 XP Pro Pcs, I have to get a 4 port dual monitor KVM to manage all of this, and that's just for starters)! So I'm really starting to stress here. If anybody can help through a couple of these processeses, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
